Student Hours Sign-up
Student hours will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-5pm.
To schedule an appointment:
- Click on the link in iLearn (in “Syllabus and Course Info” menu) to access my appointment calendar.
- Find your chosen day/week.
- Click on the time you would like to meet.
- In the “Book an appointment” dialogue box, type your name in the “Description” box.
- Click “Save.”
When I accept your appointment, I will add the Google Meet link, which will appear in your calendar.
If you would like to schedule a video call outside of these student hours, please email a request to meet with the days/times that work for you, and we will make an appointment.
Technology Needs
For this course, we will be using the following web technologies and platforms:
- iLearn/Blackboard — for live classes, course readings, and submission of assessments
- WordPress — for our class blog and backup course information
- Hypothesis — for taking annotations/notes on web-based course readings
You need to have the following technological capabilities:
- Internet connection — for live classes, readings, and blog posts
- Audio & microphone — for live classes and group discussions
- Camera (optional, though encouraged) — for class presentations and small group discussions
Attendance
Students in this course are required to follow the AUS Attendance Policy as outlined in the AUS Undergraduate Catalog.
Please note that Blackboard Collaborate will automatically keep track of attendance and lateness records. Students must be present in class for 75% of class time to be marked present. Lateness is considered arriving 10 minutes after class has begun. Please contact me immediately if you anticipate attendance challenges or if you experience technical issues that affect your attendance.
